If you were here last week, you might recall I mentioned that I’d been crazy busy over the past month or so. Well, I’m ready to reveal what I’ve been up to… I’ve been working (really hard) on my latest passion project, Think Like Queenie.
Think Like Queenie is a new YouTube channel (also to be found on Instagram, Tiktok, Pinterest, Facebook and Twitter) dedicated entirely to female empowerment, inspiration, motivation, etc. Currently, the channel is a faceless channel. In other words, I’m completely behind the scenes. Eventually, I may show my face lol. But at this very moment, I decided to keep it focussed purely on the viewer. I’ve spoken to a few close friends about it, and one or two have said I should make the channel more personal which I am considering but not right now.
This week, I was going to narrate a couple of the videos myself, but the second I plugged in my microphone, my crazy German neighbour decided to have a hot tub party and play his music at the highest possible decibel. So that put paid to that idea. And then of course, there’s the noise from the builders! I will try again when all is quiet lol.
If you’re wondering why I decided to call the channel, Think Like Queenie. Well, it’s simple—the idea is to encourage women to think like queens. My alter ego behind the channel is called Queenie Darling, because, sometimes it’s easier to do things with an alter ego, right?! Look at Beyonce and her Sasha Fierce, for example! Also, a close friend of ours calls me the Queen when he asks Michael how I am…and it just all seemed to fit together lol.
I’m still a little unsure as to what age group Think Like Queenie should be aimed at, because, to be honest, I think all women need to be lifted up and given a helping hand every now and again. So, at the moment, I’m not aiming the videos at any specific age group until it’s been going for a few more months when I can have a proper look at the analytics. I haven’t been actively sharing Think Like Queenie anywhere, other than with a few friends, so I have few followers at the moment both on YouTube and the various socials. But hopefully that will change in the coming weeks.
Needless to say, your support is very much appreciated in the form of subscribers, likes and shares. If you have daughters, sisters, friends, cousins, etc that you believe might benefit from some female empowerment, I would be so grateful if you could share Think Like Queenie with them. There’s all sorts on there, from content about some of the greatest females in history, powerful women of today, guided meditations, movie, songs and book recommendations, speeches from some amazing women, lots of ‘how-tos’ on boosting confidence, dealing with imposter syndrome, all kinds of ways to help empower women, and more. So there really is something for every woman! And if you have any ideas for other content, please don’t hesitate to let me know.
There are 83 videos on the channel (some of which are YouTube Shorts) at the moment, which explains why I haven’t been on the blog, or visiting many other blogs, for a while. My eyes are sore, my neck needs a good massage and my brain is on overload at the moment lol. But we’re off to Lisbon for a few days to have a rest which I am really looking forward to. But I’ll be back to continue with the Neverending Style link-up next week. Today is my 100th link-up party! And, after reading your lovely comments last week, I decided to continue with it so I hope you’ll stick around with me for a while. On that note, let’s get on with the party…
I hope you have an amazing and very relaxing break, my friend! You have been very busy and I am so excited for you. Congratulations on 100 link parties, too! Wowsers!

You are one of my two Friday Link ups I join, so please continue! I always love visiting your blog. We are spending time with my brother and his family for spring break and then I will plan the rest of this year’s vacations. Looking forward to his visit. They arrive this afternoon!

It’s an inspired project, Suzy! I understand the alter-ego approach, so to speak. On the other hand, I personally feel more in tune when I see the creator. That said, don’t base your approach on my preferences, because I tend to not fit the norm. But if you did, you could have interviews as part of your format. Just an idea. I need to catch up on your channel!
Under 30’s.
Oh wow, you have been busy! I’ll be popping over to YouTube to subscribe!
