There are some days when you just want to dress all in white. I love colour, don’t get me wrong (you’ll see that for Monday’s Fab40s post!), but occasionally, it’s just nice to be neutral. Certain neutrals and me tend not to get on though. Put me in beige and GAWD…just don’t put me in beige…pleeeease! I look horrendous in it. BLEURGH. Put me all in white though, and I’m happy.
I can just about get away with cream, but I just prefer shades of white or darker neutrals like camels, taupes, khakis and browns. The only time you’ll find me in beige is when I can wear a colourful scarf next to my face to counteract the hideousness of it lol. I do envy those women out there that look absolutely fabulous in all the neutrals (Laurie, you’re one of them!) but, alas, I am not one of those women. I am lucky though, that I can wear almost any other colour phew! However, things do change as you age so I might find the next time I put on a yellow dress, I might hate it lol! Such is life.
But today, I’m all in white. Nothing is new—the jeans are from Massimo Dutti, (as are the moccasins), my linen shirt is from Mango and the handbag is from Secret Sales. And all my jewellery were gifts from either my mother-in-law or from friends. It’s a very simple outfit, the sort of thing I’d wear to go shopping, but contrary to what I said about the weather on Wednesday, it’ll soon be too warm to wear my moccasins (I can’t bear having too hot feet)! The weather has since warmed up and seems much more like summer now. Although, evenings are un-seasonally chilly (just the way I like it!).

An all white outfit is quite chic with a cool and crisp vibe. You look fabulous in it. I also avoid beige because I think I look washed out by it and at first glance, I fear that I would look naked. There are neutrals that I do like, mostly gray tones and of course, black. I hope that you have a fun weekend planned.

I really love all white but haven’t done it in a while. Maybe July will be my mom to add some neutral outfits back in. Thinking several monochromatic looks would be fun. Oh and thanks for the feature! I really do love those red pants.

Suzy, I love an all white outfit and this one looks so great on you! I also cannot wear beige or tan anywhere near my face without looking like I have one foot in the grave! Laurie really does wear neutrals well, doesn’t she? She has much different coloring than you and I though! I am also glad that I can wear almost any color. I guess that is the trade off for not being able to wear a whole color category of neutrals! Have a great weekend, my friend.

I love all white! Normally if we have a beach holiday I have a white outfit for the last night when I’m a bit tanned. Cream nah and beige, ugh, no good for me. I’m wearing a lot of brights at the moment. Have a lovely weekend x
