I had good intentions to get some great outfit shots yesterday morning, but then we got waylaid and ended up taking the photos in full sun…the worst possible time to do it! The resulting images are terrible, with shadows all over the place. But I have only myself to blame. I should have gotten them done before we went to the shops! But never mind, I’m going to show you my ‘pretty in pink’ outfit regardless, because they’re the only photos I’ve got to show you today!
I had hoped that shorts weather had come and gone this year… which is perhaps one of my most stupid thoughts considering we live in the Algarve where, for many, shorts weather runs up until November. Personally, my shorts are usually packed away by the end of September because, by then, I’m so desperate to start wearing my autumn and winter clothes! But last week, the weather turned really hot again and I had no choice but to get my legs out. I’m wearing a pair of black shorts that I bought from H&M last year and never wore. This year I think I’ve worn them three times, twice was with this pink top from Springfield. I bought it the second I saw it, even though it’s a tad small under the arms. But it was a bargain and I loved the gold neckline. I’ve added my rose gold sandals which I picked up from Aldo a few years ago, a pink handbag that MIL gave me a while back, and some beautiful pieces of pink jewellery that I recently inherited. I felt all girlie and pretty in pink in this outfit.
It may well be the last time I wear it this season though, because I’m super excited that (allegedly) the weather is going to be cooling down this week, and we are even in for some much needed rain (let’s see…the weather apps we use aren’t known for their reliability). But I’m keeping my fingers crossed. And I’m sure I can find some alternative outfits to make me feel all pretty in pink again!
Such a cute look! The top is pretty and I love your bag.

Thanks so much, Lovely! The bag was a gift from my late MIL a few years ago. It’s very pretty but I don’t actually use it that often. Hugs xx
The pretty pink purse and beaded necklace are the perfect complements to your pink top. Yes — taking photos in full sun is always a problem. But your outfit is very attractive.

Thank you so much, Carol! Have a lovely day! Hugs xx
I love this pretty shade of pink and glad you shared your pics anyways. I sometimes have issues with the sun here too as I need to get pics done when my boys are willing. Wish I could put away my shorts, I am ready for a change in wardrobe but no still some pretty warm afternoons here too.

Thanks Mireille! It must be quite difficult getting your photo done with a young family. But you do remarkably well! And your photos are always beautiful. Hugs xx
What a pretty and fun outfit! You look fabulous in pink! (I’m a bit envious because pale pinks look hideous on me.) And it looks like a fun day too. 😄 About the photos…, sometimes I prefer these more on the spur of the moment pics that show real life.

Thanks Michelle! I have the same problem with shades of beige- they look horrible on me! Which is a shame because I’ve always rather liked the idea of wearing beiges and creams. Oh well, I don’t do too badly considering I can wear just about every other colour lol!
Hugs xx
I just love that shade of pink. That necklace is so cute!
