Tummy bug, a new rose gold necklace & late link-up

tummy bug

I’m so sorry I’m several days late with the link-up this week. I had intended to write the post first thing Friday morning but when I woke up that day, I soon realised all was not well, and I ended up spending the entire day being sick with what I assume was some kind of tummy bug. I’ve been feeling a bit on and off all weekend but I wanted to try and get some kind of post written for you!

Yesterday, I managed to get dressed for a trip down to Ikea and we took a few photos en route. We had intended to stay for a few hours and have a wander round the outlet village, but when we were in Ikea, I was hit by another bout of nausea and dizziness so we came straight home. Luckily, we managed to buy the main thing we’d wanted. I spent the rest of the day curled up on the sofa watching TV. I watched my favourite wedding show, Say Yes to the Dress, as well as a couple of disaster movies—San Andreas and Deep Impact. Then we watched the first two episodes of the new Lord of the Rings series. It’s absolutely brilliant. Are you watching it?

rose gold necklace

I’m wearing a beautiful new rose gold necklace here. It belonged to my MIL. Isn’t it stunning? It’s by Lucy Quartermaine. I love rose gold, it’s such a pretty colour and so flattering against so many skin tones. Everything else I’m wearing is pretty old (apart from the gorgeous ring, which also belonged to my MIL), the white linen trousers and striped handbag from Quebramar, striped blouse from H&M and ‘clog-style’ shoes were from a local retailer. It’s a simple look, with the blouse loose because, well, when you’re not feeling 100 per cent with a tummy bug, who wants to tuck anything in? Right?

Anyway, I’m so sorry that I didn’t get the link-up on time because of my tummy bug. I hope you’ll still take part, below! Thank you so much for your patience, my friends. Big hugs x

I hope you are all better now! I have a very similar top that I had already pulled out to wear this week: you can bet I am going to imitate this look!

Suzy, I’m so sorry you’ve been sick. But I must say, you’re looking fabulous in this outfit in spite of it. Your necklace is so unusual. I love it! I hope you are feeling better now.

Hopefully, I have my subscription problem fixed, so if you’d sign up again when you get the chance, we should be back in business. Also? I’m not getting the email notifications for your blog either. (Are you using Jetpack as I was?)

Ugh, the dreaded stomach bug! I’m so sorry you weren’t feeling well- I have been there and it’s the worst.

Loving you in this outfit- and totally agree, rose gold is so super flattering!

I’ve got a new post up featuring a fun white pinstripe blazer, which would totally compliment this look of yours! Great fashion minds 🙂

  8. Suzy, this is such a cute outfit for a day of shopping or running errands. That necklace is wonderful. I love how it looks like you are kind of dripping in rose gold! I am so sorry that the stomach bug cut your shopping trip short and I hope you are feeling well now!
