What I wore this week | link up

It’s been yet another week where I’ve barely left the house. So what I wore this week has been mainly comfortable tracksuit bottoms for the majority of it (feeling a little unwell meant I needed absolute comfort). But the one occasion where I did go out was to the doctors to have a few tests done. Now, I knew one of those tests would be of the gynaecological variety so I figured the best bet would be to wear a dress. Therefore avoiding any feelings of pure embarrassment when having to remove the lower portion of my clothes lol…

what I wore

The dress I chose to wear is an old one from H&M. It’s very thin cotton fabric and because it has long sleeves, it has a limited time frame throughout the year when I can actually wear it. If I lived in England, I’d probably get a lot more wear out of it in the summer! Maybe I should think about removing the sleeves altogether? Now there’s a thought. Hm…I might have a look at doing that. Since reviving my Suzy Turner YouTube channel, I’ve been wanting some creative projects, and altering some of my clothes might be a great start! I have another dress that I love but I never wear because the sleeves aren’t right. Ooh…my creative juices are flowing lol.

Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, the outfit I wore for the exciting event of visiting the doctor! Because the weather can’t decide what it wants to do at the moment, it is quite chilly in the mornings. This morning, in fact, was super foggy too. So, I knew I’d have to wear a pair of trousers and of course, me being me, chose my favourite black H&M jeans! I’m so predictable, aren’t I?! I also threw on my favourite black Skechers, some black earrings and a black cardie (a cheap one from Primark last year). To finish it off, I grabbed my newest handbag, this black beauty from Parfois, which cost me 20 euros a few weeks ago. Bargain! And that was it, I was ready for my exciting appointment! So off I went…with my umbrella because the weather was miserable that day! Speaking of which, I got this cute umbrella from TEMU which is a Chinese website similar to the likes of SHEIN and WISH. Now, I don’t usually buy from those places but I decided to do a haul just to see what all the fuss was about, and to create a YouTube video for my channel. I’ll link that video in the link-up below if you’d like to check it out.

Now, I must say I am not a medical person. I don’t like going to doctors or hospitals for any reason but the doctor I visited on this occasion was excellent! She made me feel so comfortable and really put me at ease, and when she did my smear test and blood test, I barely felt a thing! I was so impressed. If any readers are in the Algarve and need a good gynaecologist and female hormone specialist, let me know and I’ll give you her details!

But that’s enough of all that. What have you been up to this week? Anything exciting? Do you have any Halloween plans? Unfortunately Michael is not into Halloween or Cosplay or anything like that, so we won’t be doing a thing. I did suggest we have a fancy dress party but he was not impressed. Oh well…I shall just have to keep myself entertained by watching other people on YouTube make Cosplay outfits instead! Speaking of which, once I get better at sewing, I’m hoping to have a go at making some fun costumes just for the fun of it. And for photography too. Watch this space (well…the Suzy Turner blog / YouTube space lol). I hope you’ll join the link-up, below! See you soon!

    What a fabulous umbrella!
Luckily I only have one test to do, then I’m over 60 and we supposedly don’t need it anymore……… like, you’re to old to care,……. it feels like that a bit, lol. I do hope you feel good again! Have a great weekend!

  2. I loved your Temu Haul. I love the umbrella. I liked a lot of the items you chose in that haul. Have a lovely weekend xx

Lol! The elementary school has a spooky science night last night with some really fun experiments as well as a couple rooms where some plants experts shared mushrooms and different plants. It was really fun especially that we don’t do halloween but do love science and things like that. Our weather is similar to yours with cold morning but warm afternoons so I have to build outfits that can be taken apart during the day.

Love love love the outfit. The umbrella is super cute.

This must’ve been the week for doctor’s visits, I had mine this week too. Well, I still have to schedule the smear and all, but had the pre-lim visit.
