My favourite chilling out outfit & lifestyle link-up

Chilling Out outfit

That’s a bit of a mouthful isn’t it? Chilling out outfit?! But it was the best I could come up with at the time! I love being at home, just chilling out and being all zen and uber relaxed. It’s my thing lol. I’ve always been a home girl. Don’t get me wrong, I love to go out and party with friends, just as much as I love to travel. But it doesn’t take long until I’m looking forward to returning home again.

And when I am at home, I love wearing chilling out clothes. I want to be as comfortable as possible so I can laze about on the sofa or I can do an impromptu yoga session. So I need flexibility in my clothing. Just after my yoga teacher training (nearly five years ago!), I went through a phase of wearing yoga leggings all day every day (when I was at home, that is). I was extremely slim then so I wasn’t the least bit self conscious of my body. Not that I am now, I just prefer loose fitting trousers when possible. And the wider the leg, the better!

So when I spotted this pair of trousers in Bershka last year, I couldn’t resist. They’re the perfect length for me too, which is such a bonus considering most trousers these days are crazy long and usually require a foot to be chopped off! They weren’t sold as a matching set with the cute little cropped tee but as soon as I saw it, I knew they’d go perfectly together. It soon became my favourite chilling out outfit. The only problem with it, of course, is the colour! Anything I own in cream or white doesn’t usually stay its’ original colour for long! Being a chocaholic doesn’t help lol! So far though, these items aren’t too badly stained, but give me time!

The fluffy slippers are from Primark. I bought the same pair in pink a few years ago and I fell in love with them. They were so comfortable, I wore them to death. I’ve still got them, but the pink fluffy bit isn’t as soft any more. So, when I spotted these black ones a few weeks ago, I snapped them up without trying them on. For some reason they are a bit snug and I wish I’d bought a size up. Maybe next time. Serves me right, really. You should always try cheap clothes on, because you just never know, do you?

Are you a home body? Do you love chilling out at home? What do you like to wear? Do you have a favourite chilling out outfit?

My chilling out at home outfit is typically jeans, a t-shirt, and a chunky knit sweater if it’s chilly. Your outfit is infinitely more stylish than mine. I hope you’ve got a great weekend coming up, full of opportunities to be all zen and uber relaxed.

I’ve never really looked at the Bershka brand before Suzy. I’m so with you on Loungewear. And kaftans for summer lounging! I’ve just got mine out of the loft at last. Yay! xx

  3. Suzy, this is the perfect chilling out outfit! That top is super cute! I am with you on the loose wide legged trousers for hanging at home. I just found the cutest pair of 100% cotton elastic waistband wide legged pants with a Buddhist print all over them. I bought them, wore them the next day, loved them so much that I went back to the store the following day and bought them in two more colors! I have to get them photographed and on the blog soon. They are wicked adorable! Oh, and they aren’t white! Haha. Because I would make a mess of them if they were. And I, like you, am absolutely a home body. I love a good party, too, but I also prefer to be the host so I can stay at home! Have a great weekend, my friend.

Very cute and comfy chilling out outfit. I’m wearing one of mine: old jeans, Adidas top, long cardigan, fluffy lilac slippers. Not quite as stylish as yours! Have a good weekend x

I usually don’t really wear lounge clothes around unless it is early evening and I am ready to wind down. Then I wear one of my cute pjs.

What a cute outfit! I used to laze about in a tee “borrowed” from The Hubs and a pair of old sweatpants or his pajama bottoms. Not at all sexy or attractive. Then I bought a pair of lounge pants and a tee on a whim and I’m a convert. I love love love lazing about in real lounge wear. I feel put together and sexy.

    • Suzy says:

I’m actually like you more often than not, Daenel! But it does feel good to lounge in proper, loungewear!
      Thanks, lovely!
      Have a lovely weekend!

  9. This outfit is great for lounging. Love these trousers on you. High waisted but not too loose around the hips and with wide legs. Perfect. I always search for trousers which are long as being 5ft74 (is that 1m75?) I don’t like trousers to be too short.
