Another outfit for chilling out and link-up

I threw on this outfit for chilling out (and for walking the dog) last Sunday and I realised it’s actually quite a cute look. In fact, I liked it so much I decided I should take some photos to show you! I bought these floaty red trousers from a Chinese shop in town a few months ago. I saw them and thought they’d work quite well for my photography shoots, not to mention that they’re perfect when the weather is warm. They’re incredibly comfortable too, which is such a bonus!

When we were walking the dog, the breeze was actually a little chilly so I took my black cardigan with me. It’s one of many cardigans I’ve bought from H&M over the years. I love the shape and the round neck. I’ve got it in grey, pale pink, green, orange, khaki and snake print! You’d think I might actually be a bit obsessed with them lol! But I wear them a lot throughout the cooler months.

I was wearing a simple black ‘sports’ bra from Primark. It’s not actually a sports bra, there’s no support, but it’s not a regular bra either. Again, I have them in numerous colours because they’re so comfortable! The red vest top is also from Primark, and (surprise, surprise), I have it in every colour possible lol. They’ve been my go-to vests for chilling out for years, although lately, I tend to wear my H&M vests more often because they’re a little thicker. The black sandals are just cheap ones from the local Guimaraes shoe shop, but they’re ok for walking the dog and hanging out in the garden!

The book I’m reading is Insatiable by Meg Cabotโ€”a great vampire novel! Anyway, that’s enough about me and my outfit for chilling out. Let’s get on with the link-up!

One of my favourites last week was Shelbee’s Style Imitating Art post which I also took part in. We were styling the most beautiful artwork: Ellen Terry as Lady Macbeth by John Singer Sargent, and Shelbee’s look was simply breathtaking. Bearing in mind that green is my favourite colour, then you might understand why I LOVE this look so much! Shelbee’s photos, not to mention the dress and kimono are absolutely magnificent!

Those trousers really do look comfortable Suzy. I’m intrigued about the HM knitwear? I’m going to check through your posts. If you are obsessed then they must be worth checking out. Have a lovely weekend xx

  2. Suzy, thanks so much for the feature and the very kind words, my friend! My last and final Ever Pretty dress is perfect for the next SIA prompt so look out for that one next week! I think you might love it equally. And I am absolutely swooning over your adorable red outfit. Those pants are amazing and now I want them in like 12 different colors if possible! I hope you have the most wonderful weekend!

If you find something nice buy it in every colour is my motto! The red trousers look far too elegant for just walking the dog – I could see you wafting round a glamorous restaurant in them! Have a good weekend x

I need to try something like this with my new red honululu pants (sharing them on Sunday). I love cute but comfortable looks and I have been drawn to fun pants this summer.

Such a great relaxed vibe! That color is so bold and pretty.

And I so get the buying multiples of something in a variety of colors because it’s so hard to find something comfortable and looks good.

  11. Those pants are so good my friend! There’s nothing I love more than a big, loose, slouchy pair of pants! xo

Claire, I’m so disorganised too! I’m glad it’s not just me. I always feel bad when I don’t get the chance to visit your (and our other blogging pals) blog (s)!

Ah, Shelbee’s imitation is truly stunning, but so was yours! This little red number is SO cute!! What a great find. I will have to check out that vampire book–I am an insatiable reader myself! Lol!

    xx Darlene

    • Suzy says:

Thank you so much, Darlene! Since posting, I haven’t actually read any more of that book. I really enjoy reading whilst floating in the swimming pool but the pool has gotten a little chilly for me now lol! I’m such a lightweight!!
