Pink on pink (basically pink overload!) & link-up

pink on pink

Do you ever wear the same colour all over? I think on this day, when I was wearing pink on pink, I was also sporting a pink bra and knickers! I love wearing block colours, but don’t often combine the same shades in different prints like this. It can be total overload, but it also can be fun—and dressing up should be fun, right?

I took these photos the other day when it was pouring with rain, so they are a bit dark but I just wanted to show that the weather can be crappy here in Portugal lol. It’s not all glorious sunshine and heat (although, it is compared to the likes of England!).

But back to pink on pink, what do you reckon? Overkill? Or fun? Perhaps it would have been better with a plain jumper, but I bought this beauty a few weeks ago (in the sale of course) and just had to wear it before Spring starts in earnest. It’s cuddly warm, perfect for winter, but not when the sun starts to shine. It’s a fun pink jumper, although if I could change anything about it, I’d probably make it just a teensy bit longer. Why must tops be so short this year?

I’m not, however, wearing pink shoes. I could’ve done, of course. I could have worn my AMAZING pink glittery Doc Martens but I wasn’t in the mood. Instead, I opted for my tan Timberlands, because tan goes with everything. I didn’t bother with a handbag because I wasn’t leaving the house, but if I had, I’d have probably grabbed hold of my salmon pink bumbag from Kipling. I know, like I said, pink overload!

Anyway, that’s enough of pink on pink this week. Please do link up all your posts from the past week or so. I must apologise because last week, I was obviously in such a tizz because I completely forgot to add the Link-Up code, DOH! But it’s here now, I’ve made sure of that! Now though, I’m off to finish off my packing, because we’re off to visit my MIL who is recovering from a bad fall, which resulted in a whole host of horribleness that very nearly killed her. It was touch and go for a few days and we were terribly worried she wouldn’t make it. Thankfully, she’s on the mend now and we can’t wait to see her. But I shall try and continue blogging while we’re away!

I researched and found some pink beauties so you don’t have to…

That’s no overload to me! I love it. I hardly ever wear pink but it’s gorgeous. I’m in a purple overload at the moment. Have a great weekend!

  5. Suzy, I absolutely adore this pretty pink outfit on you! You look so cozy and comfy and delightfully frisky and feminine, too! I am so glad to hear that Michael’s mum is on the mend.

I love you in pink! That sweater with the skirt are perfect together.

I had to snicker at your pink bra and knickers comment. I try to coordinate but I change my clothes too many times in the morning before leaving to be bothered. LOL

I really like the pink on pink look especially with the different prints! I like the shorter lengths sometimes because they end up being just about right on me!

I hope your MIL recovers quickly. How frightening for all of you.

    Thanks for the link up!

  11. I love the pink on pink Suzy! The fair isle sweater is lovely and I love the design. You know I love floral dresses, so this combo is applauded! Lovely! I do enjoy wearing all of one color at times myself. I was a rainy day there! We are getting more sun and the temps are getting a bit warmer. That pool looks inviting 🙂
    Have a great day!
