The Fab40s are chilling out in loungewear

Fab40s Loungewear

This month, now that the weather is turning chilly, the Fab40s gals are chilling out in loungewear — and having fun doing it! I love lounging about the house in comfy clothing. Often when I get home from a busy day, the first thing I’ll do is whip off the bra, the watch and jewellery and throw on something uber comfy!

If I’m at home all day though, I’ll usually wear jeans and a sweater for most of the day until around 5ish when I’ll have a shower and change for the evening. It’s my favourite time of the day (after my morning coffee, that is!). I love to put on either some sweatpants like the ones I mentioned earlier this year, or I’ll put on a pretty pair of PJs like these. Aren’t they cute? I bought them a couple of weeks ago from Women’s Secret, which I believe is either a Portuguese or a Spanish brand that sells loungewear, lingerie and swimwear.

It wasn’t just the gorgeous shade of pink that appealed to me, it was the words, ‘A Fairytale is About to Happen’ imprinted upon them (I love typography—I’ll talk more about that in my post on Friday though). That and the fact that the PJs are covered in little golden stars!

I’ve also got a bit of a thing for soft, comfy socks like these. I love wearing them in the evening when I’m snuggled on the sofa, with the fire on and something really entertaining on TV (I’m currently binge-watching Agents of Shield). Michael usually sits next to me with bare feet! I just cannot have bare feet in the winter brrrrr. Even with a roaring log fire! If we had central heating, it might be different, but sadly, we do not.

Anyway, that’s enough about me and the way I like to chill out. Let’s check out the other Fab40s gals and see what they like to wear at home…

Ada, Elegance & Mommyhood

Ada and her beautiful daughter, Vivian, are both styling luxe loungewear in time for the festive season. Don’t they look gorgeous together? I’m loving both sweater dresses which look both stylish and comfortable. Stunning!

Daenel, Living Outside the Stacks

Daenel has chosen to wear the coolest pair of PJs I’ve ever seen and I do believe I need them in my life! I adore the addition of the long cardigan and the slouchy socks. And isn’t this the most beautiful photo? I’m always in awe of Daenel’s photographic skills. I wish I could hop on a plane and go have lessons with her!!

Shelbee, Shelbee on the Edge

I adore Shelbee’s photo—it’s suits her fun, quirky personality down to the ground! And isn’t her loungewear super fun?! I love the stripes, the colours and the sexiness of the off-the-shoulder look. Love it!

And me…with Luna!

I am loving the little stars on your loungewear! I do enjoy switching out in my post comfy clothes early evening in the fall/winter especially if I am not going to work out.

If there’s anything we’ve learned in the last almost two years, it’s that comfort is queen, right? I love this theme! Your pajamas are darling! I do love anything with a graphic (I mean it has to speak to me, but…)! You definitely look lovely in this color!

Thank you so much. Marsha! And I couldn’t agree more, especially now, that comfort is most definitely queen!

  3. Suzy, this set is so cute! I really like the pretty pink color but it was the star and moon print that really caught my attention, too! And the graphic is just perfect for a cozy lounge set! You look wonderful, my friend! And I hear you about no socks in the winter! Who DOES that? Haha. Your husband and my kids apparently! It makes me cold just seeing bare feet in the winter.

It was actually the stars and moon that grabbed me initially, Shelbee! I’m glad it’s not just me that can’t bear to see bare feet lol!!

I love lounge wear and have bought more in the last two years. I tend to wear sweatshirts and baggy joggers. Your set is cute.

  6. This is such a cute set, the colour suits you! I’m often in loungewear at home too but it’s more daggy old pyjamas than cute sets like this, haha! I do have a couple old sets from the juicy couture days I wear when WFH, but otherwise it’s PJs all day until I need to go out!

Hope that you are having a good week 🙂 It’s been a wet start to summer here, haha!

    • Suzy says:

LOL I love how you described your old PJs, Mica!!! I also wanted some of those old Juicy Couture velvet ones but never got round to it LOL!
My week has been great so far thanks, although the weather is a bit wet and blustery out there today!
Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your week <3

I love loungewear…I would buy loungewear every day :)))…I like this pink colour, it looks great on you.

    Have a great day!

Your PJs are cute. That dusty pink is such a calming color… I had to giggle at your bra comment because I used to take mine off in the car. LOLOLOL

Thank you for the kind words about my photography—you have skills too, Lady! I wish we could get together, there’d be so much laughing.

  9. I am the same. Around 6 p.m. I change into a comfortable sweater and jogging pants. But I so want a fancy set. I thought I found something last Sunday but my girlfriends just laughed at me and said I looked ridiculous (I did, I have to admit). So the search continues.

LOL…. I would love to have seen your potential outfit, Greetje! But, if you’re wearing it just for you, does it matter if it looks ridiculous? As long as you love it and you’re comfortable??
