Last week I told you all about the blue and green Zara dress of my dreams, but I didn’t show you what it looked like on. Well, here it is in all it’s glory. Isn’t it a beauty? I completely fell in love with the print the second I laid eyes on it, but I had no idea what it would look like because I didn’t even try it on. I just squealed and showed Michael, who promptly bought it for me!
I put it on the other day to take photos for the blog, and I was thrilled. Luckily it fit perfectly (it’s a medium) and looks fabulous with my white Ecco trainers. I love dresses with trainers, don’t you? When my foot has healed (from all those stupid little fractures I did recently), I’m looking forward to wearing it with a pair of (low) heels, and perhaps even some chunky boots?
It’s not often that I fall madly in love with a dress and buy it straight away like this. I tend to see something I like and then either talk myself out of buying it or wait for the sales. Not this time! All I need now are some occasions to wear it!
As for the outfit, I’m wearing the belt that came with the dress (although I reckon it would look good with a different one too—I favour wide belts myself), the Ecco trainers, a faux leather handbag bought from a local store a few years ago, a necklace from Eternal which was gifted to me years ago, my black Citizen watch, some simple pearl earrings and a white crystal bracelet I bought for myself a couple of years ago. Oh, and I picked out the blue of the dress with a hair scrunchie.
I’m excited to see how I can style this blue and green Zara dress for the winter. I’m thinking it’ll look good with a turtle neck top underneath it (like the blue one I mentioned in the last post), a chunky cardigan, tights and boots. Although I’ve yet to find the tight chunky cardigan. Ideally, I’d like a black one (that’s my current mission lol). I also think the dress will look great open over a pair of jeans or trousers. I would imagine you might see this dress a lot over the next few months!
If you’re wondering who this lovely fella is (below). His name is Rocky and he lives on a ‘farm’ down the road. He’s one of the most adorable dogs I’ve ever met! He escapes from the farm every morning and runs with everyone walking their dogs, and when he’s had enough of that, he comes over to my house for cuddles! He often stays until the evening when eventually he wanders off home. We all love him to bits. Isn’t he gorgeous? He’s got one brown eye and one blue (remind you of Practical Magic?!!).
But that’s enough of Rocky and my Zara dress, what have you been up to lately? I hope you’ll add your posts to the link-up so we can all check them out!
That’s a gorgeous dress for sure, you look like a knock out! Pinned. I love how you accessorized it too with the blue hair scrunchie and white bag and trainers xx
What a great dress! I love it with the sneakers!
The dress looks lovely! I’ve not worn mine with trainers yet but I will do! Michelle xx
You look lovely in this dress! I can see why you would squeal! Now, I’m thinking I need one. There’s just something about a shirt dress, isn’t there? They’re so very versatile. Thank you for the link up!
Love the dress on you! The colors are so pretty! Funny how I just saw it on Michelle yesterday and I know it would look great on you too. That was a good impulse buy!

I love this style of dress Suzy. Easy to wear yet they pack a good punch. Love the material of yours xx
That dress does look adorable on you, Suzy! Love the print! You’ve accessorized it perfectly with the sneakers and bag and jewelry, too. For some reason, I have trouble wearing sneakers with a dress. While I like them with a short sheath type, it makes my short legs look even shorter if the skirt is full! Lol! Look perfect on you, though. And that doggie, Rocky, is just the cutest!! When I was growing up, our dog ran the neighborhood, too, but sadly, we can’t let our dogs do that anymore. Have a wonderful week.
xx Darlene
