A shopping outfit, photography shoots and link-up

I seem to have had another busy week… On Monday I met up with Karen, a friend I hadn’t seen since before Covid (and this is the shopping outfit I wore to go out with her). On Tuesday, Sarah came over and we went ‘thrift shop’ shopping, before Laura joined us at home to watch my first photoshoot (with Sarah) in my new little ‘studio’. Michael, Sarah and I went out for vegan sushi then came home to watch Hocus Pocus II (Michael went and played Playstation). The following day was a public holiday, so the three of us went down to Mar Shopping and the Outlet Village to get Sarah some new trainers. Guess who also left with a pair? Yep…me AND Michael lol. Yesterday I spent all day writing upcoming blog posts and sorting out photos and so on. All this after a few weeks of not being well, so let’s just say I’m a bit knackered at the moment lol!

But it’s been a super week, and I can’t wait to start editing the photos I took of Sarah. I would have liked to have done them by now but it’s just been too crazy. We had loads of fun though. Laura came along just to watch (and make us laugh like she usually does—she refused point blank to model for me though lol!). Sarah turned out to be super natural in front of the camera, although she’s a bit nervous about what the photos will look like. I shall be sharing the best ones on my other blog in the next couple of weeks, as I’m planning on creating a bit of a portfolio on there, so stay tuned.

As for my shopping outfit with Karen, I was unsure what the weather was going to do, but I’m no longer prepared to wear shorts, despite the day time temperatures still reaching the high twenties! So, I put on my high-waisted khaki trousers instead. There is actually an elasticated belt that goes with them but I seem to have lost it, and I don’t have another. But I think they look ok without it. And because I LOVE khaki with orange, I opted to wear my bright Zara top (which I also have in bright green). I knew we’d end up shopping (even though we had only planned to meet for a coffee), so I figured I’d keep it practical with my black Kipling bumbag (which I also have in salmon pink). And because I’m using a black bag, I decided to wear black sneakers as well. My retro Skechers were the ones I chose on this occasion.

You should see the sneakers I just bought though. OMG they’re so FREAKING loud lol! Michael convinced me to get them, because he has severals pairs (from Asics) and he swore that this particular style are the most comfortable shoes he’s ever had. I’m wearing mine today and I can honestly say he was right. OMG they’re like walking on air! I’ll show you soon…but you might need your sunglasses lol. Yes, they’re that bright!!

What have you been up to this week? Do let me know in the comments and / or the link-up below. I always read your comments, by the way and they always make me feel so honoured that you take the time to leave a message. So thank you so much for all your kindness, my friends! I’m sorry that I don’t always get the time to respond though. Life seems to have gotten crazy lately (in a good way!). Have a fabulous weekend xx

  1. I like Khaki and Orange. A great colour on you that Orange Suzy. I love the photo above the comments. I’ve just ordered my first HM cardigan btw xx

  2. Things are starting to get crazy busy round here, too! Kid activities are picking up and I still have so much painting I want to get done. And I need to get moving on this Reiki business! I need more hours in a day or maybe less sleep? But I do like my sleep! Super cute shopping outfit and fun post! Have a wonderful weekend!

This is so my type of outfit to wear when out and about when traveling. You will see in my outfits for Costa Rica that my joggers are very similar to your pants. I love the bright orange with them. I am about to put my shorts away even though our afternoons are still warming up.
