A sparkly green top & link-up

sparkly green top

I’m a bit late with the Neverending Style link-up this week, because I got side tracked with Think Like Queenie (again). Mind you, we also had a public holiday (25th April, Freedom Day in Portugal) this week too, which threw me off a little. But I’m here at last and I thought I would show you a sparkly green top that I bought several years from Promod. It doesn’t get worn that much, to be honest, because it’s one of those things that it’s either too cold for or it’s too warm for!

I wore it a few weeks ago when the weather was cooler. Now though, it’s been crazy hot these past few days (it registered over 30ºC in the car!) and I wouldn’t really be able to wear it (tie in those pesky hormones and I definitely can’t!). It’s such a pretty top, with a deep V front and back and is covered in sparkles. I guess it could be a good Christmas party top too!

Anyway, with my hormonal memory kicking in, I cannot remember what I wore it for recently. We obviously went out somewhere in the car…but for the life of me, I’ve no idea where lol! I teamed it with the wide-legged cargo pants from Zara, my black hi-top trainers from Ecco, my oldest black patent leather handbag (it was a gift from my late step-mother-in-law Lillian who passed away in 2007, I think), and a beautiful pearlescent necklace from my late MIL, Jackie. I thought the necklace went very nicely with the sparkly green top. It’s one of those super long necklaces that I wrapped several times around my neck, although I’m often a bit paranoid that I’m going to get it stuck somewhere and get strangled to death (I clearly watch WAY too many crime comedies)!

And that’s it, another very simple outfit, this time featuring my green sparkly top from Promod (which, sadly our local store closed a few years ago). What have you been up to this week? And how’s the weather where you are?

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

This top reminds me of the one I wore around the holidays: same green and sparkle. I love your choice of necklace with it!

The top and beads together are such a beautiful combination. I had to giggle at the thought of being strangled with the beads. I get those type of thoughts too. I understand about the sweater being too warm. I have some of those too. I expect, I’ll be listing them on Poshmark.

Great minds think alike, Michelle LOL!! What are we like?! People keep talking about Poshmark, I must check it out and see if they have a European version!
      Big hugs xx

  3. I love sparkly things and have a sequin vest that really needs to be worn a bit more often. I’m almost certain I haven’t worn it since we moved away from Georgia over 4 years ago {maybe longer}. I’m not even sure why…

Anyway, I really like that shade of green on you. It’s such a deep saturated color. Very pretty.

Our weather has been all over the place. Yesterday it was darn near summer and today I have on the heat. I’m over it. I want warm weather. Not hot, just warm.

Thanks Daenel! Green has been my favourite colour for so long, and these days I’m loving all the teals…and I guess this is like a deep teal.
I’m totally with you on the weather. I don’t want it hot either, just warm. That would be perfect. So weird that youu’re needing to have the heating on now!
      Big hugs xx

Hi SUzy, I seem to be late as always ! Very pretty pine green on you, love the necklace with it. I have some garments like that , that you have to wear only certain times due to the weather. We had 80 degree weather and today 60.. it is a bit unpredictable at times.
    Have a lovely week,
    jess xx
