13 intriguing discoveries this month | link-up

Welcome to my first, 13 Intriguing Discoveries post, where I’m exploring a diverse range of fascinating finds and experiences. From Steampunk fashion to innovative home décor, 3D animations, and unique metal posters. I’ll also introduce stylish leather accessories and share insights into a weird AI-inspired drink. Plus, we’ll take a look at Kurt Geiger’s latest trainers and some captivating YouTube channels that have kept me entertained for hours on end lol.

Uchronic Time

Uchronic Time is the most fabulous Steampunk and Vintage clothing store in Barcelona, and sells a variety of items, including clothing, accessories, and home décor. The owners of the store are passionate about Steampunk and have been involved in the community for many years. They recently launched their own line of clothing and accessories. I haven’t been to their physical store but I found them via Instagram and instantly loved their stuff!

The site also includes a brief history of Steampunk and a description of the different styles of clothing. It also provides information on how to create your own look.

If you are interested in learning more about Steampunk or finding unique clothing and accessories, I recommend visiting the Uchronic Time website. https://uchronictime.com/en/

H&M Beyond: Bold and Innovative Home Décor

H&M Home, the home décor division of the popular fashion retailer H&M, is known for its stylish and affordable products. But with its new line, H&M Beyond, the brand is pushing the boundaries of traditional home décor. As soon as I saw these products, I knew I had to share them with you. It’s not so much the products that intrigued me, but more the way they’re showcasing them on the site…it’s so cool! I guess you’ll just have to have a look, won’t you?!

It’s a capsule collection of home décor items that are designed to be bold and innovative. The line features a mix of fluid shapes and hard materials, and includes a variety of items such as vases, candles, and blankets.

One of the things that sets H&M Beyond apart from other home décor lines is its use of unusual materials. For example, the “Sculptural Vase” is made of ceramic and has a unique, fluid shape that is reminiscent of a sculpture. The “Geometric Candle” is made of glass and features a geometric design that is both modern and elegant.

Another thing that sets H&M Beyond apart is its focus on sustainability. Many of the items in the line are made from recycled materials, such as the “Recycled Glass Candle Holder” and the “Recycled Cotton Blanket.”

H&M Beyond is a great choice for anyone who wants to add a touch of boldness and innovation to their home décor. The line features a variety of unique and stylish items that are sure to make a statement. The H&M Beyond line is available now at H&M stores and online.

Displate: Metal Posters that add personality to your home

Displate is a Polish company that sells unique metal posters. The posters are printed on a high-quality metal substrate and are designed to be durable and long-lasting. They offer a wide variety of posters to choose from, including art, movies, music, and video game posters. I actually spotted them through an ad on YouTube and I just really liked the look of them. Maybe it’s something I’ll try in the new house?

Displate posters are easy to hang and do not require any nails or screws. The posters come with a magnetic mounting system that allows you to hang them on any metal surface. They’re also weatherproof, so they can be hung indoors or outdoors. https://displate.com/

APATCHY LONDON (wide handbag straps!)

Apatchy London is a British company that designs and makes leather bags and accessories. The company was founded in 2010 by designer and creative director, Emma Bridger, and is known for its tassel bags, which are made with high-quality leather and feature unique and stylish designs.

In addition to tassel bags, Apatchy London also makes a variety of other leather bags, including crossbody bags, tote bags, and backpacks. The company also makes a variety of leather accessories, such as wallets, belts, and keychains. But the thing that stands out the most to me are the fabulous wide straps they sell. I LOVE a wide strap so these are just GORGEOUS!

The products are sold online and in select boutiques around the world. The company is committed to sustainability and uses ethically sourced materials in its products. The brand is also a member of the 1% for the Planet initiative, which donates 1% of sales to environmental causes.

If you are looking for high-quality leather bags and accessories with a unique and stylish design, this is a great brand to consider—I know because Laurie of Vanity and Me recommended them! https://apatchy.co.uk/pages/tassel-bags-straps

Coca-Cola unveils futuristic flavours with AI Twist

For about a year and a half, Coca-Cola has been experimenting with limited-edition mystery drinks, often with futuristic concepts and undisclosed flavours. The latest addition, Coca-Cola Y3000, is designed to taste like the future (whatever the heck that means?!), and artificial intelligence played a significant role in both flavour development and packaging. So weird, right?

Apparently, Coca-Cola Y3000 retains the classic Coke taste but adds a unique twist, thanks to AI’s assistance in flavour profiling. The Y2K-inspired packaging also drew inspiration from AI-generated images.

Available for a limited time in the US and Canada, Y3000 offers both zero and full-sugar options at regular Coke prices.

Just like previous Creations flavours, Y3000 blends online experiences with real-life events. Customers can scan a QR code on the package to explore a futuristic world.

The launch includes an exclusive capsule collection created with luxury streetwear brand Ambush, available on their website this autumn.

I’m not much of a coke drinker myself. But I usually have one in the cupboard for when I have tummy ache because it’s one of the few things that will settle it, but I am intrigued! I’d love to know what this special edition coke tastes like! Such a bugger that it’s only in the US and Canada.

I’m obsessed with Kurt Geiger!

Check out their latest range of trainers…they’re to-die for! I recently bought a pair of Kurt Geiger flatforms from Vinted which I absolutely ADORE. Sadly, they’re a bit tight for me NOOOOOOOO! I even bought some shoe stretchers but they haven’t made much difference. I’m gutted…but I’ll try the stretchers a bit more and keep my fingers crossed! I’m dying to buy some of the trainers but I’m worried about buying the wrong size. Perhaps I need to size up? Find the trainers here.

YouTube channels I’ve been obsessing over (for hours!)

Rachel Maksy

Rachel is an absolute nutcase in the very best sense of the word. She makes me laugh no end, with her crackpot ideas and quirky style. She loves to create all kinds of things from Cosplay outfits to Halloween ornaments to painting murals Victorian style. Seriously, a few weeks ago I literally sat and watched her videos for hours on end…I just couldn’t stop! I just love her!

HopeScope

Now Hope is another YouTuber I’m obsessed with. Once you start watching, you’ll find you can’t stop lol. She reviews items from like… everywhere—Amazon, Wish, Etsy, Pinterest Ads, Instagram Ads, TikTok Ads. Gosh, you name it and she’s probably bought stuff to review. She’s another one who just makes me laugh! Some of the things she has done are crazy….like buying palettes of returns from Amazon, for instance, or buying lost luggage, etc.

Kylie’s New Album is out and I love it!

Anastacia’s new Album is out too and it’s so nice to listen to her again! And I love her style.

So that’s it for now. Some examples of things that have kept me glued to the computer and/or phone this month. 13 intriguing discoveries to be exact. I’ve loved putting together this post so I shall endeavour to make it into a regular monthly series. I hope you enjoy my finds! And now let’s get on with the link-up…
