Yes, I now have 29 pairs of jeans & link-up

Yes, I’ve bought two more pairs of jeans! I can’t help it, I just can’t get enough of them. Although, if I’m honest, I’m simply determined to find the perfect pair for my body lol. I’ve just had a look in my wardrobe and counted how many pairs I actually have, and there’s at least 29 pairs of jeans in there! Crikey.

The two pairs I bought this week were from the sale in H&M, so they were only cheap (which obviously makes it ok to buy more to add to my 29 pairs of jeans lol). Up until last year, the majority of my collection consisted of skinny jeans. I’d literally been living in them for years! But slowly, with skinny jeans losing popularity (but not in my eyes), I’ve been adding different styles. My favoured being the wide leg variety. So, when I spotted this pair for just 10.99 euros, I had to have them!

The other pair I bought are boot-leg and are in a darker wash. I’m actually wearing them now, they’re super comfortable, and they were only 14.99! Talk about a bargain. I ordered them both in a 40 (which is a UK 12, I think), and they fit really well. My only slight gripe is that the lighter wash jeans are a tad long so I’ll have to wear heels / wedges until I can be bothered to take them up. If I had to do that with all of my 29 pairs of jeans, I’d never be doing anything else!

I also bought this light brown / taupe coloured vest at the same time. I knew to order it in a size S because I already own rather a lot of them lol. I have two in dark brown, as well as in white, navy, khaki, light blue, black and several in grey. Clearly, I live in them! They’re so comfortable to wear when it’s hot and underneath sweaters when it’s cold. They’re available every season in different colours.

The cute little suede fringed handbag was bought from Massimo Dutti years ago. Although I love it, and it’s super cute, it’s completely impractical! I can just about fit my phone, a lipstick and a credit card and that’s about it. But it does look good lol. The shoes are also old, but I adore them. They’re probably the most comfortable pair of heeled wedges I’ve ever owned. They’re kind of a clog, but have a super soft bed for the foot (my brain isn’t working, I can’t remember the proper word for that lol). I would love to buy another pair but I haven’t seen anything similar since buying them. I finished off this look with a denim shirt from Primark (really old), as well as a brown suede cuff and a fabulous necklace from my MIL (the ring was a gift from her too).

fabulous necklace

And that’s it, just one of my 29 pairs of jeans, styled in a very simple way. It’s a look I like very much. Simple but stylish. Wouldn’t you agree? How many pairs of jeans do you have? Anywhere near my 29? After writing my last post, I mentioned I didn’t really have anywhere to take photos now that we’ve moved house, I was thrilled to discover this place works quite well for indoor photography YAY! So, when it’s raining, I know I’ll be able to continue inside. I couldn’t do that in the old house, so I’m happy. And now let’s get on with the link-up. I hope to see you there!

  1. Gah, you are so sexy and sassy in this easy denim and vest look, my friend! I love these indoor photos! For the too long jeans, can you just lob off the bottom with a pair of scissors and leave a raw hem? That might be kind of cool! Also, I laughed at your 29 pairs of jeans…because, well, um, I just cleaned out my jeans and took 75 pairs to the consignment shop! I still have about 75 pairs left in my closet that I would like to reduce to a mere 29. It is so hard to do though because I tried on every single pair and kept all the ones that looked good on me. I have a serious hoarding issue with clothing…it is so bad that it is becoming the main focus of my therapy sessions! I am determined to downsize and I will do it!

OMG Shelbee!!!!!!!!!! I thought my 29 pairs was bad!!! I can’t believe you have / had so many pairs of jeans!! LOL That’s insane!!! You really are a hoarder when it comes to clothes lol, but I totally get it. Especially when you love to play dress up so much. As long as you’ve got the space for it all, why not? I would have more if I had more space. That’s just of the many reasons why I’m so looking forward to the new house!
And thank you so much for your lovely comments. You’re so sweet!
      Big hugs
      Suzy xx

Great photos! I like the silhouette of your new jeans with their wide bottoms (boot leg or bell bottoms?). Either way, they’re a refreshing change from skinny jeans. The styling with the taupe vest and chunky necklace is quite attractive. Thanks for hosting the link-up.

There are so many styles and shades of denim, I can easily see how you would have a collection of 29 pairs of jean! These are very flattering on you, I love the flared leg. Glad you are settling into your new temporary home, and found a great spot for pictures. Thanks for the link up and enjoy your weekend!

I do have more pairs than I used to since I like you I am enjoying different cuts now. I am loving your indoors pictures: well done and tht is only simple but really cute outfit!

  5. I have a whole drawer full of jeans, but I’m not sure how many is in there. I should count next time I do a little closet clean up! Ha! I love that pair on you, it fits you so well and shows off all your curves!

  6. I think I have 4 pairs of jeans. Two are very worn out, which makes them extra fashionable. 😁

  7. These jeans look great on you! I love that wide legged jeans are back but I always have to hem them – so I haven’t bought any yet! I’m sticking with the skinnies and straight legged ones I have, haha!

The most I ever have recorded is 21 pairs of jeans but I’m not sure if I was ever over that at one point. I do have a lot of denim, but I whittled my collection down so I have less now!

Thanks for the link up! Hope you are having a good weekend 🙂

Hi Suzy! I read your post and just had to go count my jeans. I have 44 pairs. Most of them are skinny jeans which I love and will never quit wearing. I also have one pair of flares, two straight leg and one old pair of low-rise, embroidered jeans from about 2004 which I wore once and found out low-rise jeans don’t work very well when you’re long waisted. Must have high-waisted jeans! I was pulling them up every 3 seconds…haha! The rose embroidery is so cool I just can’t part with them. Jeans are awesome!! Love your jeans and vest outfit! Vests and jeans (denim shorts in the summer) are my favorite thing to wear usually with combat boots or hi-top sneakers. Maybe I’ll go count my vests now. What a gorgeous elephant picture on your wall!

  9. Simple but stylish, I agree and that’s good.
I have a lot of jeans too, but I recently weeded and gave a few pairs away. I now “only” have eight pairs left. Two boyfriend, one straight, three skinny, one flared and the other one I don’t know haha.

  10. Hi Suzy1
I think I may have that many too! I have gotten rid of some over the years and recently went to Madewell and took 3 pair as you get a $20 coupon for each pair (can only use one at a time on purchase). They recycle them.
I want to try on some Agolde denim as I have heard good things. You look great in this pair and love with the tank top in this color. I stocked up on tank tops this year too, a great basic. Love the necklace! I just bought a belt bag from Massimo Dutti on Posh for our Europe trip later in the year.

This is a fabulous, casual look, Suzy! Stylish, but it looks effortless. I have a couple pairs of jeans by my love is jeggings, leggings. It probably has to do with the fibromyalgia. It’s all about comfort.

The way I see it, you can never have too many pairs of jeans 😉
