Styling my fab new blue Zara blouse | Link-up

Zara blouse

The second I laid eyes on this fab blue Zara blouse, I knew I had to have it. Isn’t it gorgeous? Not only is it the most gorgeous shade of blue, it’s also a fab print…very retro, right? It makes me think of something that Emma (from Style Splash) might wear.

Almost everything else that I’m wearing here is new as well. It seems I’ve been on a few shopping sprees lately! I certainly haven’t limited myself to just buying the blue Zara blouse lol. I bought the blue jeans and the black sweater vest from H&M and the black boots are from Stradivarius—they were an absolute bargain at 19.99! I couldn’t believe it when I saw the price, and they’re incredibly comfortable too. To start off the day, I also wore a simple black snood but I soon warmed up so I had to take it off.

And guess what we were up to when I wore this outfit? Errr…..shopping! Again! We can’t resist the sales lol. And when I say we, I mean Michael and myself. He’s almost as bad I as am. The main reason for heading down to the shopping centre was to change a couple of items that he bought me for Christmas. One was a multi-coloured blouse from Desigual which he’d accidentally bought in an XL lol. I was secretly pleased we had to change it because I wasn’t over-keen on it in the first place! I ended up changing it for an over-sized hoodie which has been lovely to wear in the evenings over the past few days.

The other top I had to change was a pretty orange satin blouse from Massimo Dutti. Unfortunately, the sleeves were ridiculously long for me. When we were browsing what they had to offer, I spotted the most beautiful fuchsia full length wool coat. There was only one left, and so I tried it on. OMG I LOVED it! I tried on a couple of blouses too, but my mind just kept going back to the coat, so Michael paid the difference and I brought it home with me. All I need now is some colder weather to wear it lol!

We also had a bit of a look round the Zara sales and I saw the most amazing (and impractical) pair of sparkly boots. I tried them on and decided it would be silly to buy them. When on earth would I wear them? So I put them down and walked away. For the next couple of hours, I just couldn’t stop thinking about them….and when we popped back in (for something else, I might add), I decided if they were still there, I’d have them. Even if it was just to look at it in my dressing room! But, sadly, there was no sign of them where I’d left them. Michael and I scoured the shop but didn’t see them anywhere so I figured they weren’t meant to be in my wardrobe. Then, as we were exiting, I just turned my head and there they were—in the most unlikeliest of places! I snatched them and hugged them. Michael said I even squealed. He thought it was hilarious. Aren’t they fabulous?

But that’s enough of that (for now), let’s get on with the Neverending Style link-up! Please feel free to link up all your blog posts, YouTube, Insta and TikTok posts and reels too. Any subject is welcome (you might have noticed I’ve started sharing more book reviews lately, so I might add some of those). See you soon!

  1. What a great blouse — I love both the color and the print. And, yes, to that coat. I wouldn’t have left her behind either. Even if I had to turn the AC on high and walk around with her on in the house!! LOL Gosh, I wish we could go shopping together. I’m all about impractical purchases that’ll just live on a shelf.

That is a fabulous blouse, and I love the whole outfit. Such a gorgeous shade of blue. I purchased a pair of shoes, knowing I probably wouldn’t wear them, just because they were pretty. I really need to figure out a way to display them.

Suzy, you do have a keen eye for fun and fabulous pieces. This whole look is simply outstanding. So well put together and yet still maintaining a “I just through this on” easiness. That coat and those boots were both great finds, too.

  6. That blouse is fabulous! It really does look like Emma’s style, too. I love it paired with your blue trousers and chunky boots. But your new sparkly boots and bright pink coat steal the show! Actually, I think you should style this new blue Zara blouse with the sparkly boots and new pink coat! Pleeeease!

I love the retro print blouse – you’re absolutely right, I would most definitely wear it! You know my style well! The coat and the boots are stunning – I wouldn’t have been able to resist either. They’d look fabulous together too! Thank you for the shout out and for linking up!

  8. That pretty blouse has a very retro ’60s or ’70s feel to me. Very pretty blues. And the print is cheerful and fun. I am just loving your short hair. So perky. I would love to chop mine off but my whole family would disown me. Yours is the cutest!!
