This week’s Style Imitating Art inspiration piece is Dining Room in the Country by Pierre Bonnard. Style Imitating Art is hosted by Salazar (14 Shades of Grey), Terri (Meadow Tree Style), and Daenel (Living Outside the Stacks). Style Imitating Art challenges us to draw style inspiration from pieces of art. Every other Monday one of the hosts selects an inspiration image and they each post the image on their blogs. The following Monday they share their art inspired outfits. Participants submit their art inspired outfits with the curator by 10pm Tuesday and, that Wednesday, the curator shares all of the submissions on her blog. This week, the curator is Terri. For the last Style Imitating Art challenge, we styled Girl in Rose and Gray. Miss Carmel White by Robert Henri.
As soon as I saw Dining Room in the Country I knew I had to wear something orange. Well, my wardrobe is sadly lacking much orange so I had to go to the next best thing: red. Reddish orange, anyway! I bought this top a few years ago from Primark, although I’ve seen very similar tops in H&M too. My second colour option had to be pale blue, which came in the form of my favourite pair of wide-legged Massimo Dutti jeans. The additional colours of purple and green were added in my accessories—my necklace has both colours in it, and my bracelets and ring are green. The earrings (which are new), have pink in them, which is also in Dining Room in the Country if you look closely!
I know it’s another simple outfit, but I guess I’m a bit of a simple outfit nut lol. Although, watch this space because I’ve got an outfit for Friday’s Neverending Style link-up post which is anything but simple! I can’t wait to show you lol! Last week’s link-up featured a simple navy blue outfit. Did you add your posts yet?
Oooh, it is a simple outfit, Suzy, but ever so striking in the colors and silhouette! I love it! his bright reddish orange (orangish red) looks brilliant on you and I am swooning over your wide legged denim. Fabulous look!

I agree with Shelbee… Your outfit is striking in its simplicity. Love the doily-esque shoulder detail. So pretty. That necklace and bag are pretty fabulous as well.
Simple but with great details! That is real life so I always love what you share! That first picture of the tree really makes me think of the painting with the tree mirroring that column.

This outfit might be simple but it is a great interpretation of the art for this SIA challenge. You hit the nail on the head. And by contrast, your pink Skechers and tulle skirt outfit is anything but simple!! You can wear it all so well.
