Feeling pretty in pink Skechers & link-up

The other day I mentioned I would be showing you an outfit that is anything but simple. Well, here it is… an outfit that makes a statement. A very pink statement lol. I’m feeling pretty in pink Skechers!

I decided I needed a pair of summer trainers and Skechers are always my first go-to shop for trainers (I have five pairs now lol). As soon as I entered the store, I spotted these pink beauties, immediately tried them on and knew I had to have them. I hadn’t actually intended to buy a pink pair. I just wanted something light on the feet, and light in colour. Aren’t they super pretty?

I didn’t have anywhere to go, but I figured I would play dress up and go all out. Hence the tulle, the sequins and sparkle! I absolutely LOVE this outfit. It’s so super girlie, but super comfy too, with the pink Skechers. However, there is a funny story about the tulle skirt—which isn’t actually very comfortable. Let me explain…

I’d been wanting a pink tulle skirt for so long, but had never come across one that was right, so I ended up searching for one online. Trying not to spend much money, I stumbled over this one on Amazon. I was a little confused over the sizing so I ordered an XL because the measurements seemed closer to mine. When it arrived, I wondered if I’d ordered a child’s XL because it was tiny! But on the sales page, there was no mention of kids. Oh well… at least I only paid about ten euros for it! So I put it away thinking I would just pass it on to my niece when she’s a bit bigger. And then I bought these pink Skechers…

For this post, I knew I wanted to wear something really girlie and fun and the tiny skirt was perfect. Shame about the size though lol. But I figured I would try it again, and it actually wasn’t as bad as I thought. It was just about wearable (provided I don’t reveal the major muffin top the elastic waist is causing lol)! So sod it, I put it on and completed the outfit with my gorgeous sequinned top from H&M earlier this year and my pink Kipling bumbag et voila, my pretty in pink Skechers outfit was born!

What do you think? Is it your kinda outfit? How would you wear a pair of Pink Skechers? Would you wear them with something so….erm….princessy lol?! Let me know in the comments! But now though, I hope you’ll join the Neverending Style Link-up so we can all check out your latest blog and Instagram posts 🙂

One of my favourite posts this week was written by Gail of Is This Mutton, who shared a very thought-provoking piece entitled, ‘Is Grandmother an Insult’. The post highlights a woman who took exception to colleagues mentioning her grandmother status—not that she didn’t love being a grandmother—she was protesting about the implied ageism in the term. It’s a great read and one certainly worth thinking about! I hope you’ll check it out if you haven’t already.

Oh wow – what an outfit. Love the shoes and I adore the tulle skirt. Glad to hear you like dressing up! So do I but fewer opportunities to dress up now I think. I shall make the effort and wear my tulle skirt soon!

Utterly fabulous Suzy! I love tulle skirts. I finally bought one but haven’t worn it yet – grappling with what top to wear with it.

  3. Gah, Suzy, this is magnificent! I love this all pink girly outfit in tulle! I laughed that you possibly ordered a child’s XL (which should fit like an adult small or medium, I think). I am glad that you were able to make it work for this darling little outfit! You know I would wear this in a heartbeat…Skechers and all! Have a fabulous weekend, my friend!

I have thought about getting a tulle skirt from Amazon but still haven’t done it: too many other things I would rather get that I know I would wear more. This sure is a sweet outfit and I like the playfullness of the sneakers and sequins. I love all the pictures on the steps!

Suzy, this is a fun and playful look. I would definitely wear a pink sequin top with pink trainers but probably with a pair of jeans.

I love this outfit! It’s so fun and cheerful! Tulle is fantastic to wear. I ordered a denim blue one weeks ago and it should arrive next week, finally! Can’t wait to wear it. That too is gorgeous too! And pink sneakers…. yes!!

I adore it!! I want a tulle skirt too but I don’t have anywhere to wear one. But, gah, if I did! This pink one would be it. It’s perfect.

Now, this is a bit of me, Suzy. Sequins and floaty tulle. Brought into 21 with trainers. What’s not to love xx

I love your pink outfit–including the Skechers! It’s girlie and cute and so fun! I’ve been trying to figure out how to style my new pink loafers–now I’m wishing I had a cute tulle skirt and sequin top like yours!! Lol! I probably would’ve done something much more traditional and less fun, so thanks for the inspiration!!

  13. Beautiful, sparkly, magical you. Love this look. I just gave my granddaughters my pink tulle skirt…wonder if I can get it back?? This is such a fun outfit. And you own that skirt!!

  14. It is a fantastic outfit. I love tulle skirts but like you, haven’t been able to find one that I like. I want them not to poof out from the waist but slowly get wider, a bit like your yellow skirt.
    Some day.
And eh.. there is no sign of your muffin top, so you put on that sequinned top in a clever way.

553589 721817I genuinely enjoy your site, but Im having a difficulty: any time I load 1 of your post in Firefox, the center with the internet page is screwed up – which is bizarre. May possibly I send you a screenshot? In any event, maintain up the superior function; I undoubtedly like reading you. 161499
