I’m thrilled to have yet another of my favourite people on The Grey Brunette today. It’s the fabulous Jacqui from Mummabstylish, an English blogger with a flair for fashion. So, without further ado, come and meet her…
My style would best be described as classic with fashionable accents. I tend not to follow trends fully, just dabble here and there.
I have a much wider scope for things I like to wear now. Years ago I would only wear a maximum of three colours, now I’m open to much more and clashing patterns too.
Not really, just anyone who wears elegant, classic styles – if you know Jane McDonald I love her style.
Ohh I have so many! Probably my new wide-leg trousers. I’ve wanted a tan pair for ages, they are just so flattering on me as I’m pear-shaped.
Well, I’m so excited with my new dressing room and wardrobes. We have plans for a new build, but until that happens I wanted to utilize my spare room! We painted, had new carpet and curtains and had some fabulous Ikea wardrobes and cupboards installed. They comprise of a corner wardrobe that holds quite a bit, but not everything and some billy bookcases for my boots and shoes. It’s a wonderful room now, I can see everything and have installed a vintage clothes stand to plan future outfits too. I also have a ring light and have been trying some IG Reels. It keeps me busy and I just love it. I hope it inspires more people to make a room just for them, us ladies deserve it!
I started my Mummabstylish blog back in 2016. I felt redundant as my youngest started work and driving and no longer ‘needed’ me. Feeling old, overlooked and worried about being so forgetful I decided to start blogging. I’m amazed at how far I’ve come, how much I’ve learnt and how many lovely friends I’ve made. The name came about because my daughters’ work colleagues used to call me Mumma B – my second name is Berry. I always try to dress stylishly – Mummabstylish / Mumma be Stylish so it’s sort of a double meaning. It just sort of seemed right.
Oh 100% it has, I’ve learnt so much, which I’m so proud of.
I love finding lots of lovely new friends – I hadn’t expected that to happen. My least favorite is understanding all the computer jargon and affiliate sites, they get me tied up in knots!
My advice for new bloggers would be keep trying, post consistently & enjoy what you’re doing. You are capable of doing so much.
Today I’m wearing my cream culottes with a pink chiffon blouse, ivory boots, gorgeous studded pink belt and when I popped out I put on my new off-white coat. I pulled it all together with a floral scarf in pale pink and cream.

I love Jacqui and how varied her style is! And her new wardrobe room is gorgeous. I am very thankful for my large closet and I keep adding details to it to make it more fun to get dressed. I think i want to change my light fixture next.
