A paisley shirt with a difference | link-up

Paisley Shirt

A few months ago, one of my close friends had a closet clear-out and I ended up with a few real gems, including this fabulous paisley shirt with a difference. Okay, so I’ve neglected to take photos showing the difference, other than the alternative shirt sleeves, that is. The difference to the paisley shirt is that it has a kind of ‘frill’ to the bottom of it. Not a full on girlie frill, per se. But a subdued frill. I’ll show you another time though.

This is the first time I’ve worn it, and for added warmth, I figured I would try it out with a little sleeveless sweater (tank top, to my American friends). I actually quite like the clash of the ‘sporty tank’ with the paisley shirt print. It’s kinda cute, isn’t it? I was rather surprised, to be honest. It was one of those occasions where I didn’t plan the look, I just threw on the paisley shirt and then threw on the sweater. And it worked. I added my tan Timberland ankle boots, my brown leather ‘man’ bag from Massimo Dutti and a few bits of silver jewellery and I was ready to go.

I wore this outfit to hang out with two of my close friends (one of which was the one who kindly gave me the shirt and she was thrilled to see me wear it) which we hadn’t done for a while, and we had such fun just having lunch and nattering. There was lots and lots of laughter!

That was last week. This week, I’m sitting in a hotel room in Zurich to celebrate Michael’s 50th birthday. It was all decided last minute but luckily I had a few outfit photos to share with you for the link-up this week. I’ve got my camera with me so I’ll try and take some good photos to share with you when I’m home. I hope you’ve got some great posts to share with us all! See you soon!
