This week’s Style Imitating Art inspiration piece is Feeding in the Light by Jerry Garcia and was chosen by Shelbee. Style Imitating Art is hosted by Salazar (14 Shades of Grey), Terri (Meadow Tree Style) and Shelbee (Shelbee on the Edge). Style Imitating Art challenges us to draw style inspiration from pieces of art. Every other Monday one of the hosts selects an inspiration image and they each post the image on their blogs. The following Monday they share their art inspired outfits. Participants submit their art inspired outfits with the curator by 10pm Tuesday and, that Wednesday, the curator shares all of the submissions on her blog.
For various reasons over the past few months, I just haven’t been able to take part in the SIA challenge, so I was so happy to manage it this week. As soon as I saw the beautiful image of Feeding the Light, I knew exactly what to wear…
Can you see the resemblance? It was so easy to just throw on lol. I bought this sarong / scarf a few years ago from a touristy shop in Praia da Rocha and it gets worn so much when it’s hot. I just wrap it around my waist, or tie it around my neck, and that’s it! Perfect for this heat! Needless to say, I haven’t bothered with any accessories because I just can’t in this heat.
It’s a short and sweet post this week because I’m away for a while. I’m hoping I’ll get the chance to post next week but I’m still unsure. Please do check back though! And in the meantime, please link up all your wonderful posts in the Neverending Style link-up! See you soon!
