Brown, white and gold OOTD | Link-up

As I sat down to edit my photos for this week’s Neverending Style link-up, I had a Homer Simpson DOH moment…the photos of the all-white outfit I had intended to show you today had all been wiped off my camera. It was me…I even remember doing it yesterday. What a complete idiot! So instead, I rushed outside to take some photos of what I’m wearing today: a brown, white and gold outfit.

I’m so annoyed at myself for deleting all the photos of the all-white outfit, because I thought it was pretty cool lol. It was what I wore to my friends’ daughter’s 16th birthday party. I shall endeavour to put it on again next week so I can re-take the photos for you to see.

For now though, here’s today’s brown, white and gold outfit. I’m not doing anything special, I’m literally just working in my little ‘cloffice’ / studio, taking and editing photos and learning more about photography via various different sites including Udemy, YouTube and Skillshare. But I’ll tell you more about that another time.

When I got dressed this morning, I felt a slight chill in the air, so I decided to wear my old brown cords. They’re not as thick as my green ones, so if it gets warmer, I’ll still be ok. I bought them from the supermarket (Modalfa for Continente) a few years ago. I’m wearing a brown cotton vest—one of my favourites from H&M (I have loads in different colours), then I threw on this cute white cardigan that I found in a thrift shop last year in Lagos. My neck felt a little chilly though, but I didn’t want to wear a big scarf (after all, temperatures outdoors can still reach the high 20s at the moment) so I opted for this pretty one with the golden thread throughout. I actually bought it from another thrift shop earlier this year (the one in Lagoa, Algarve).

As for my jewellery, I’m not wearing much, just some simple pink pearly earrings and a gold ring (both of which were inherited). My MIL did love to buy rings online and she did so a lot…and I mean, seriously a lot lol! Buying jewellery online was her hobby, her passion, and when I think of her shopping, it makes me smile!

My shoes are white sneakers from Ecco which are super comfy, and my jewellery is all inherited (not that I’m wearing much today). And that’s it. That’s my simple brown, white and gold OOTD. Not as fancy as my all-white look, but still, not a bad outfit to wear for a day-to-day look, right?!
