Pale pink and green & the Neverending Style link-up

Pale pink and green

The weather has been so weird lately, hasn’t it? I keep reading comments from my friends all over the world saying how up and down it is. At least here in the Algarve, we’re not having to deal with hail stones though lol. Although it has been known! I think perhaps my hormones have something to do with it as well lol. I’m either way too hot and stripping off, or the past few days, I’ve been freezing cold. Michael will be sitting in a t-shirt, PJ bottoms and bare feet and I’ll be wearing thick tracksuit bottoms, a t-shirt AND a jumper, thick socks and a throw over the top of me! What is going on?

Which brings me to this pale pink and green outfit that I wore last week when the sun was shining and it was gloriously warm. This pink blouse seemed like the perfect top to wear to keep me cool. I bought it from H&M (online) a couple of months ago and figured I would wear it a lot throughout July and August when the sun is hideously hot (for me, anyway lol). It’s very loose and floaty, perfect for summer days. The only problem with it is the front neckline is very low! So, I’m wearing one of my new little tank/bra tops from Primark (I’ve lived in them the past year) underneath it.

Because I wanted something else slightly more loose-fitting, I chose to wear my green flared jeans from Zara. I bought them over a year ago when the shops were open. They’ve got a lovely high buttoned waist and they hug my bum and thighs just enough to be comfortable and they’re stretchy so I could actually do yoga in them if I wanted to lol. They were ridiculously long when I bought them though (which usually happens with jeans), so I had to hem them myself. They’re still a tad long so a little heel is ideal.

I’ve had these heels for so many years. I got them from New Look. But, boy are they uncomfortable. I love the style so much though, I figured I would put up with the discomfort. However, I didn’t wear them very long on this occasion. I swapped them for a pair of pink furry sliders lol! But don’t worry, I didn’t leave the house like that! This little handbag is from Secret Sales. In fact, I think it was the very first thing I ever bought from them.

And that’s my simple pale pink and green outfit. I hope it’ll be warm enough to wear it again soon—although I’ll be probably wear my pink Calla sandals instead. My poor feet will thank me for it!

Have you got lots of great posts to add to the Neverending Style Link-Up? Last week I talked about my shopping trip. I’m excited to see what you’ve all been up to! So, please go ahead and add your lifestyle and style posts below…

Neverending Style Linkup

Last week’s favourite was Nicole from High Latitude Style with her take on ‘how to look awesome in a lace, denim, sequins outfit‘. I happen to love lace with denim and sequins, it’s such a fabulous combination so I love her look this week!

Pink and green – one of my faves! Perfect top for staying cool – when the weather’s right! Here it’s grotty, grey skies and rain forecast for the weekend. Have a good weekend whatever the weather!

Talking about weather today, the morning started at 46 degrees butI am wearing shorts because it will warm up by mid day. It is crazy though. I have been wearing pants longer into spring than I usually do. I am liking this pink and green combination. I do like lightweight and floaty blouse like this when it is hot.

Thanks Mireille! I agree, there is nothing better than floaty blouses and skirts / dresses when it’s hot! The weather has actually turned now. It seems like summer is coming!

  4. I love pink and green together, Suzy! What a great outfit! Those jeans are absolutely wonderful. I want green jeans now! The weather has been wonky here, too, but I mostly blame my hormones for how ridiculously cold I am all the time! It actually just started to feel like Spring this week but I still need long sleeves and layers!

  6. Such a great outfit. The color combination is sweet without being too much. I had to LOL at the heels. Same, girl, same.

The weather in the Uk is awful at the moment – we had 3 days of warm weather so I wrote a post about it being summer at last. I spoke too soon as it’s cold and wet again!

Love that delicate shade of green with pink – so nice and lovely on you. Have a great weekend.

    • Suzy says:

Oh dear, Penny! It sounds pretty horrid over there. Since I wrote this post, it’s actually turned nice here. It feels like summer is definitely upon us!
      Have a lovely week.

    Suzy,

Great look and fabulous color combination. I also have a few pairs of shows that look great on but are awful to wear. I keep them mostly for outfit photos, LOL. Thanks for hosting and I hope that you’ve had a wonderful weekend.

Thanks Rena! I’ve actually started to hold on to a few pairs of shoes purely for outfit photos too lol!
My weekend was lovely – we actually went out for dinner YAY! First times in MONTHS!

  10. Pink and green are such a good match. A shame of the shoes. I have quite a few shoes in my wardrobe which I cannot wear for very long. Especially in the summer when my feet swell up and I get blisters everywhere.
